La Cova Negra Red
La Cova Negra owes its name to the colour of its walls, blackened by the smoke of fires lit by its Stone Age inhabitants. The cave is part of the history of the La Vall dels Alforins terroir, where our vineyards flourish at 500 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Serra Grossa. This sunny area, blessed by gentle breezes blowing in from the Mediterranean Sea, gives the wine its complex, intense and fruity character.
La Cova Negra Red has been crafted with Tempranillo, one of the most widespread varieties in the region, paired with a hint of Cabernet Sauvignon. Aging in American and French oak barrels gives this wine a distinctive character and a unique, highly recognizable signature.
Clean, dark cherry red in color, silky and intense. Highly aromatic with strong red and black forest fruit aromas combined with a bouquet of aging notes, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves on a background of Mediterranean undergrowth. Intense and structured on the palate, with sweet, silky tannins, greedy and fresh, and a long, pleasant, lingering finish.
